ADJECTIVES
Ø  Definition
An adjective is a word that describes, identifies, modifies, or quantifies something (a noun or a pronoun).

In English, an adjective usually comes before the noun it pertains to

Adjectives can be classified into many categories. In English, adjectives are generally used in the order: quantity-->opinion-->size--> temperature-->age-->shape-->color-->origin-->material-->purpose.

1.      One adjective
·         I met a handsome man
·         She had a beautiful smile
·         I have a big dog
·         Ben is an adorable baby
·         I want to buy a round table

2.      Two adjective
·         I bought a pair of black leather shoes
·         It was a beautiful cold day
·         There is a big fat spider in my room
·         The girl in my class has a cute pink bag
·         Mother baked fresh brown bread.

3.      More than two adjective
·         I love that old green antique car that is always parked at the end of the street.
·         My sister has a beautiful big white bulldog
·         The playroom has six small round plastic tables.
·         They have a lovely old red post-box.
·         I bought some charming Victorian silver ornaments at the flea market.


ADVERBS
Ø  Definition
An adverb is a word that describes an action, telling "how," "when," "where," "how often," or "how much" an action took place. In the phrase "the cat ate hungrily," hungrily is an adverb since it describes how the cat ate. Adverbs often end in ly. Some adverbs are: easily, warmly, quickly, mainly, freely, often, and unfortunately.

1.      Adverb of frequency (described how often something happens)
·         I always study in the library
·         I usually wakes up at 5.00
·         I often read in the bed at night
·         I sometime sing in the shower
·         Vegetarian never eat meat

2.      Adverb of time (described how long or when something happens)
·         She came yesterday
·         They deliver the newspaper daily
·         We moved into our new house lastweek
·         I’m going to my new school tomorrow
·         The train has already left

3.      Adverb of place (described where something happens)
·      Please sit here
·      Two cars were parked outside
·      The women who lives next door is a doctor
·      The boys are playing upstair
·      She has lived in the city since june

4.      Adverb of manner (described how something happens)
·         She sings sweetly
·         He speaks quite clearly
·         The traffic was moving slowly
·         She smiled cheerfully
·         He is playing music loudly
